How do I open files I've downloaded from the 'Net?

The Internet is full of software and files you can download for free. But often the files you download are compressed or 'stuffed' to minimize the download time. You can tell what utility was used to stuff the file by the file's extension:

Extract the files with...

.zip A 'zipped' file compressed with pkzip. Though usually a Windows file Macintosh files are sometimes zipped as well and can be unzipped with Stuffit Expanderô or DropZipô. Both are authored by by Aladdin Systems and have Shareware versions available.

.sea This is a 'self-expanding' file - the software needed to expand the item is actually built-in to the file as well!

Simply open the file to decompress.
