Why do I get kicked offline when checking email?
Customers using Outlook Express may experience
this problem if the settings are not configured
correctly. Follow these instructions to
make sure that you setting are correct:
1. Click on the Tools menu, and click Options.
2. Click on the Connections tab.
3. There is a checkbox entitled "Hang up after
sending and receiving", if this box is checked
then uncheck it.
4. Click OK at the bottom of the window to save
the settings and return to the main outlook
express window.
5. Click on the Tools menu again, this time
select Accounts...
6. Click on the Mail tab, then highlight your
mail account and click the Properties button.
7. In the properties window, select the
Connection tab.
8. There is a check box entitled "Always connect
to this account using:", if this box is checked,
uncheck it.
9. Click OK to save your changes. And then click
Close on the accounts window.
