E-Mail FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

I can get mail but I can't send it.

If you can get mail you have a good connection to the Internet.

If you have trouble sending mail (such as getting an ''unable to send message' error) it's likely the email address is wrong in some manner.

Examples of good email addresses:
somename@domainname.com Simple example
somename@domainname.com, somename1@domainname1.com, somename2@domainname2.com Multiple addresses can be separated by a comman (spaces ok after the comma)
First M. Last <somename@somedomain.com> (if there are brackets make sure they're on both sides)
"First M. Last" <somename@somedomain.com> (if there are quotes make sure they're on both sides)

Examples of bad email addresses:
somename @domainname.com no spaces in an email address
somename, @domainname1.com, somename2@ Each address must be a good address on its own
First M. Last <somename@somedomain.con> Domain is .com, not .con
First M. Last <somename@somedomain.edu> While this may be a valid address make sure the domain you're sending to is the correct one. com, edu, mil, org, and gov are valid examples

or you forgot to put in the domain address (@somewhere.com).

When you click on send the message comes back with , some of your recipients were rejected by your mail server.....'. What this
