Unsubscribe
When you "unsubscribe"
to a newsgroup, it means that you no longer want to read it on a regular basis.
Upload
To copy a file or program from
your desktop computer to a remote computer.
URL (Uniform Resource Locator)
A tag--or address--that provides
a method for accessing a piece of information on the Internet. A URL tells you a
fileís protocol or program, the domain name where the file exists, and the path necessary
to reach the file.
Usenet/Usenet News/Newsgroups
A newsgroup is a special interest
group on the Internet that discusses a narrowly defined topic. The "discussion"
takes place via an open electronic bulletin board where those who are interested
can read and/or leave messages.
Userid/User I.D.
User name portion of an e-mail
address.
